Water is supplied from three municipal wells. The maximum pumping capacity is 121,000 gallons/day vs. peak daily use of 65,000 gallons/day, providing substantial margin for growth. Storage capacity is 200,000 gallons.
The Argyle Water Utility has been upgrading its distribution system annually.
As street repair projects arise, the underground infrastructure is upgraded prior to the street work being started. Undersized mains are replaced with larger mains for better fire hydrant flows and valves are installed to better isolate problems if they should arise.
